Back to our topic, this is a world of cats. I believe it is a democratic, free, and peaceful world. In a peaceful world, to prevent conflicts and harm among each other, it is necessary to prevent any weapons that could potentially hurt other kittys. For cats, their claws are their main weapons, used for hunting and attacking opponents, as well as for climbing. But since this is a peaceful world, to ensure the safety of the inhabitants of cat cities, every cat’s claws need to be trimmed (therefore, I would design gangster cats or rogue/criminal cats with untrimmed claws, and the weapons would be various types of cat claws, like Wolverine, or cats with adamantium claws).
So for this prop design, I focused the theme on cat nail clippers. It’s like a weapon for defending peace, capable of trimming the claws of naughty cats. Therefore, I hope every police cat can be equipped with it.

I looked for all sorts of nail clippers and confirmed that their structure is actually not much different from normal scissors, so I started practicing drawing by comparing various cat nail clippers.

In the final design, I added a space that can automatically collect cat nails, so that after the cat police trim the bad cats’ nails, they can be collected directly. To make this cat nail clipper cuter, I used pink as the main color, which makes the cat residents feel more at ease and not perceive it as an unsafe weapon.

In the final presentation, you can see that my coloring seems to have improved a lot, which is exactly what I wanted to showcase. I am very excited about it because I can now use colors normally to shape an object, which I consider a significant gain. At the same time, I adjusted my brush and turned the stabilization to the maximum. Although my shaky hands still prevent me from drawing the lines I want, this shortcut has also made the lines in my work smoother and cleaner.

For the upcoming Coursework 2, I hope I can create a modern cat city, where patrolling cat police are catching the naughty cats, trimming their claws, and then locking them in cages. I am studying how to draw cages and hope to achieve this goal in the end. Thank you again for reading, thank you.
